Q. What is the Label made of?
The labels are made of a highly durable material called Mylar, which is a strong polyester material with excellent wear and tear resistance and is suitable for outdoor applications. The printing process produces a finish for years of serviceability.
For extended use in direct sunlight, or extensive wear and tear properties, the Silver colour is the most stable and durable.
Q. What information should I have on my Label?
You can have up to 4 lines of information with up to 22 characters, including spaces, in each line.
The most important information is a name and phone number. You may choose to have:
Q. Can I use these Labels on items other than Golf Clubs?
Yes. You could use these Labels on your Mobile Phone, Camera, MP3 Player, Children’s Sporting Goods, School Equipment, etc. The labels will adhere securely to most hard surfaces that are clean.

Q. How many Labels are in the set that I purchase?
The Label set includes 18 labels, all of the same information, as per your typed information on the Order Page. That provides you with Labels to protect your equipment, plus spares for future purchases.
You could use spare Labels on your Sporting Accessories, Camera, Mobile Phone or Ipod, etc.
Q. How long will it take for my Labels to be produced and sent?
Your Labels will typically be produced and mailed in a DL sized envelope by the next business day.
Q. How do I apply the Labels?
When applying to a Golf Club, simply wrap the Label around the thickest part of the shaft of the club, just below the grip. For a Fishing Rod, wrap the label around the thickest part of the rod above the grip, on a smooth section. For lighter rods, you can apply the label lengthwise. See below regarding overlap of label ends.
When applying the Label, try to touch the adhesive back as little as possible and then it is recommended to leave in place for 48 hours before use. The Label with adhere securely and bond well to the surface.
Q. Should the Label ends overlap on a shaft or rod?
No. The Label is designed so the ends do not overlap.
Wrap the labels around the thickest part of the shaft or rod so the ends don't overlap.
If the ends overlap slightly, the Label is likely to lift in the area that it overlaps on itself.
On a small circumference, you may need to snip the label end a little shorter so the ends do not overlap.
Q. Is my credit card safe when paying for these Labels on the Internet?
Your entire credit card transaction is private and safe through a secure environment that fully encrypts the information through the authorisation process SSL (Secure Socket Layering). We use Paymate for credit card transactions which is an Australian Company endorsed by Australian Banks for public use. We never see, nor do we store your complete credit card number.
Our preferred method of Payment is by Direct Deposit BSB. The BSB Details are printed for your convenience on the Order Confirmation Form at the completion of your Checkout.
We also accept Money Orders and Cheques. Your goods will be posted as soon as the funds are cleared.
Q. Can I get a Volume Discount?
It may be possible. Please contact us on admin@sportidlabels.com.au with details of your request, or if you would like information on being a supplier of Pre-Paid Order Certificates to your customers.
Q. Can I order the Labels by Fax or Mail?
You can Fax or Mail a Pre-Paid Order Certificate. If you have received the Pre-Paid Order Certificate as a gift, you can use this website and enter your Label Information to order your set of Labels. Just click on the Pre-Paid Certificates Button and follow the prompts. There is no postage fee applied to redemption of labels from a Pre-Paid Gift Certificate.
Q. Where can I purchase a Pre-Paid Order Certificate?
Pre-Paid Certificates are available from most major Golf Pro Shops and major Golf Retail stores. If they are not available, ask your local Golf Pro to obtain them for your club members. You can also purchase a Pre-Paid Certificate through this website by clicking on the Pre-Paid Certificate button and following the prompts.
Q. The purchase is for a Gift and I don’t know what to put on the Label.
You can purchase a Pre-Paid Certificate and give it to your recipient to complete with their preferred personal details and preferred Label colour choice. The Labels with then be mailed directly to the recipient.
Q. Can I remove the Label from one piece of equipment and put on another?
No. Whilst the adhesive is deemed a ‘permanent adhesive’ the Label can be removed, but the Label’s appearance and re-adhesion quality would be unsatisfactory.
Q. Is the Label affected when I have my grips changed?
Most likely. During the process of having grips changed it is common for Petroleum products to be used. If so, the top surface of your Labels will be subject to the stripping nature of the product and need replacing at the same time as your grips.
Q. How do I remove the Labels?
Find a vertical edge and try to lift with your fingernail. Once lifted enough to hold, peel the label off. Some adhesive could remain, and can be removed by using household solvent such as Methylated Spirit. (Please exercise care when using flammable liquids, and refer to the Product’s safety instructions.)
Q. What happens if I am not satisfied with the Labels?
We are confident you will be very satisfied with your Labels. However, if you believe the Labels are defective in some way, or have been damaged via the Delivery Service, we will replace them at no charge.
We cannot replace them if the information typed into the order was incorrect.
When you order your Labels, the information on your Labels will be exactly as entered.
If you inadvertently click Cancel instead of Print you can obtain a copy by accessing "Your Account".
You can access this by clicking on the "Order Labels" button and then the "Your Account" button on the top right hand side of the Shopping Cart page. You will find a range of options including "Order History". Click this and then "View" the relevant Order for which you require a Tax Invoice.
Highlight the details within the box, right click your mouse and then Print.
If you have paid by Credit Card through PayMate a copy of the Tax Invoice is also available by following the instructions above to access your "Order History".
